In the process of moving the solug.org domain away from ABC Communications so I can actually update the entire site. I'm thinking of moving the site from Joomla to Wordpress. I'd like to get some input into what you'd like to see on the site. For example, should we keep the forums or just have a mailing list with archives available?
Would members be willing to supply content for the site with articles and updates? Anything you've seen at other LUG sites that you really liked? Please give me some feedback in the forums at http://www.solug.org/index.php?option=com_joomlaboard&Itemid=42&func=view&id=1458&catid=6 Thanks.

Okay I'm moving the site over to a new hosting provider in the next few days. The site will be probably unavailable at different times. The new hosting provider's website is at http://www.fusednetwork.com. They seem really good and I found a 50% off coupon code on Redflagdeals which allowed me to buy two years of hosting for about $138CDN. Not a bad deal. I'm paying for this out of my own pocket with a little bit of money that is left over from some money we collected a few years ago. If you'd like to contribute a few bucks to this cause please let me know.
To make things easier, I am going to make the entire site from scratch on Wordpress. So that means you will have to register for a new account once the new site is up. There's a lot of really old accounts which I don't think anybody uses anymore. |
